We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a passion for renewable energy to join our team in the solar industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the electrical aspects of solar energy systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and optimization of solar power solutions, from system design to installation and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical engineering principles, experience with solar energy systems, and a strong commitment to sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for solar energy projects, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, inverters, energy storage systems, and grid connections.
- Perform electrical calculations, load analysis, and design reviews to ensure systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with national and local electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC). Create and review detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD, PVsyst, or other relevant design tools.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate electrical infrastructure, potential power generation, and integration requirements for solar projects.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of solar energy systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Provide technical support during construction, installation, and troubleshooting to ensure the successful deployment of solar energy projects.
- Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and field teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure system designs meet budget and schedule requirements.
- Ensure the system complies with all regulatory requirements, including grid connection standards, safety codes, and environmental considerations.
- Perform performance analysis and system monitoring to optimize energy production and address any operational issues.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source the appropriate electrical components, such as inverters, transformers, and cables, and ensure their compatibility with system designs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in renewable energy and electrical engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
