  •  To ensure completeness and accuracy in inventory recording at all times.
  • Filing of stock vouchers in systematic and organized order for prompt accessibility.
  • Preparation and reporting of daily stock status to senior management.
  • Maintain strong liaison with other departments (purchase, accounts, production, etc.) in terms of sharing daily reports not limited to the following:
    • Current stock position
    • Slow/Fast moving stock
    • Unusual fluctuation in prices of a particular stock
    • Near-to-expiry stock report
  • To conduct and lead physical stocktaking regularly and report differences / unusual findings to concerned management on a timely basis.
  • Keep stock always reconciled and assist the accounts department in month/year-end financial closing.
  • To handle the transfer of inventory between related parties and keep a log of sale/purchase returns.
  • To perform analysis on inventory data, highlight and report unusual trends to respective departments, and suggest corrective measures accordingly.
  • Ensure that the allotted stock number and location are in line with details entered in ERP/accounting software.
  • To evaluate and keep a record of damaged/expired stock and get assurance that it has been properly disposed of along with wastage value.
  • To use professional skepticism in using valuation methods such as FIFO/Weighted average, etc.
  • To get assurance at all times through reviewing and reconciliation techniques that physical stock matches with actual closing stock in accounting software for accurate financial analysis on inventory.
  • To bring improvements in present work methods with experience, devise procedures, and implement controls to bring quality and accuracy in reporting data.

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor in Commerce or equivalent.
  • FMCG experience will be preferred.
