Key Responsibilities:
1. Medical Billing Assistance:
- Verify and process medical billing claims and invoices.
- Review, code, and categorize medical procedures for accurate billing.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billings and payments.
- Maintain detailed and organized billing records.
2. Appointment Scheduling:
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using our scheduling software.
- Confirm appointments and send reminders to patients.
- Handle rescheduling and cancellation requests.
- Assist in managing the healthcare provider's calendar.
3. Data Entry and Documentation:
- Accurately input patient and billing information into our electronic systems.
- Maintain updated patient records and insurance information.
- Prepare and send out invoices and statements to clients.
4. Communication and Support:
- Collaborate with the medical billing team to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Communicate with patients and healthcare providers professionally and courteously.
5. Administrative Tasks:
- Email management, document filing, and report generation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant or in a similar administrative role.
- Knowledge of medical billing procedures and insurance verification is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with medical billing software and office applications.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting.
