The Quality Assurance & Hygiene Officer is responsible for overseeing the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance processes and ensuring that all hygiene standards are strictly adhered to. This role will lead and monitor HACCP and Halal programs, manage audits, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality and hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests on food products, including flour and corn grits, to ensure they meet our quality standards and continuously monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance process and workflow to ensure compliance with established standards. Lead and monitor the HACCP and Halal programs across all facilities, ensuring strict adherence to food safety protocols. Assist with the execution and follow-up of regulatory, internal, and external audits, including Halal, ISO 22000 and Sindh Food Authority (SFA) standards.

  • Develop, maintain, and control databases applicable to ISO and Halal standards, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Monitor equipment and machine-related issues that may impact food safety, taking swift action to resolve any problems.
  • Plan and execute training programs that support the company’s objectives in quality and food safety, ensuring all employees are well-trained in these areas.
  • Monitor Critical Control Points as per the HACCP Plan, ensuring all safety measures are implemented effectively.
  • Regularly visit production premises to inspect processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety practices.
  • Lead and coordinate pest control inspections within production areas, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Analyze consumer complaints, lead process improvement initiatives, and report on findings to drive continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to hygiene practices and processes, ensuring a safe and sanitary production environment.
  • Monitor food handling, labeling, and discarding practices to ensure they meet regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Sindh Food Authority standards, ensuring safe and hygienic food production and environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including NCR/CPAR reports, customer complaints, training records, audit documentation, medical and vaccination records, and microbiological records.
