PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Project aims to enhance immunization activities in high-risk union councils of selected districts through community engagement and strengthened service delivery, including primary healthcare and the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI). The project focuses on deploying mobile health units, identifying zero-dose and defaulter children to improve vaccine coverage and reduce vaccine-preventable diseases in areas with low immunization rates. Collaborating with key stakeholders such as the EPI Program, health departments, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and local communities, the initiative emphasizes raising awareness, ensuring equitable vaccine delivery, and addressing immunization gaps to achieve sustainable health outcomes.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Grants & Compliance Officer will be responsible for assisting Manager Grants & Compliance in managing on-going grants and projects, responding to solicitations for new funding opportunities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax framework, coordination with external parties in assessments, audits, compliance, assurance and capacity building.

  • Ensuring that all grants are well administered and implemented in compliance with the donor regulations and project procedures.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals for prospective funding opportunities. Managing administrative processes for submission of proposals, follow-ups and modifications.
  • Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and donor and project regulations.
  • Grant tracking, ensuring forward planning and preparation for donor reports, adherence with project requirements and timelines, and timely submission of donor reports.
  • Implement standardized project grant administrative, monitoring, reporting and evaluation tracking tools.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination and participate in monitoring project implementation.
  • Manage documentation related to grants and compliance function.
  • Preparation and compilation of documents for external parties like donors, government agencies, tax authorities and others.
  • Work with operations and finance department in ensuring that relevant donor procurement and financial rules are followed.
  • Training and capacity building of MERF staff on grants management and compliance.
  • Traveling to field locations to monitor project implementation, project progress, and compliance and assurance purposes.
  • Review of project finance documentation, providing feedback and ensure corrective action.
  • Any other task as assigned.
