We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead its Malnutrition Project in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. This position is pivotal in reducing malnutrition rates by identifying malnourished children, facilitating their access to timely healthcare, and implementing sustainable community-based interventions. The Project Manager will work closely with healthcare providers, government agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders to drive long-term impact.

The role also involves expanding the program to Bhimber, Kotli, and Poonch as these initiatives develop. The Project Manager will oversee regular engagement with local stakeholders, ensuring efficient service delivery, data-driven decision-making, and continuous program improvement. The successful candidate must be aligned with the vision and mission of Midland Doctors, ensuring that all program activities contribute to the organisation’s long-term goals of providing equitable and sustainable healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Implementation & Oversight:

  • Conduct baseline assessments to determine the prevalence and severity of malnutrition.
  • Develop and implement early identification and referral strategies, ensuring alignment with

WHO guidelines.

  • Oversee adoption of digital tools for data collection, case tracking, and patient follow-up.
  • Ensure policy compliance with WHO and national health regulations.
  • Expand the project to Bhimber, Kotli, and Poonch.
  • Maintain a Gantt chart to track project timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure effective communication across all teams and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  •  Coordinate with healthcare providers, government agencies, and NGOs to strengthen referral pathways.
  • Engage with local media and advocacy groups to raise awareness about child malnutrition.
  • Represent MDMI at conferences and policy forums.
  •  Maintain regular communication with Midland Doctors Medical Institute.

Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Develop impact assessment frameworks to measure project effectiveness.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to track project progress.
  • Establish KPIs, including:
  • Percentage of malnourished children identified and treated.
  • Recovery rates of referred patients.
  • Community awareness levels through outreach events.
  • Social media presence for health education.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Oversee budgeting, grant management, and resource allocation.
  •  Identify funding opportunities for project sustainability.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential

  •  Bachelor’s or Master’s in Public Health, Nutrition, or related field.
  •  Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in health- related projects.
  •  Proficiency in data collection and impact evaluation.

Desirable

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Knowledge of WHO guidelines on malnutrition and community health programs.
