We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Computer Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer systems, performing data entry and management tasks, and providing technical support to users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain computer systems, including hardware and software components.
- Perform data entry and management tasks, including data processing, editing, and verification.
- Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Maintain computer systems and peripherals, including printers, scanners, and other equipment.
- Monitor system performance and security, and report any issues to management.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and virus scans.
- Collaborate with other teams to resolve technical issues and implement new systems.
- Provide training and support to new users, including explaining computer systems and software applications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in computer science or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a computer operations environment.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and software applications (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a computer operations environment.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work.
