We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Lead - Transitions to join our team. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of database developers while collaborating with various technical and functional partners to design and implement advanced data solutions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into valuable insights and shaping the data strategy of our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Architecture & Development: Architect and develop enterprise-level databases and data processing systems, ensuring they are scalable, highly available, maintainable, and cross-region capable, primarily using MS SQL Server.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a team of database developers, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their technical skills and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Data Integration & Migration: Design and implement data integration and migration solutions, adhering to data management principles and best practices.
  • Collaboration & Solution Building: Work closely with technical and functional partners to design and build new data solutions that meet business requirements and transform raw data into critical insights.
  • Business Application Analysis: Analyze business application requirements, identify potential concerns, and develop actionable plans to address them effectively.
  • SQL Code Reviews & Deployment: Conduct SQL code reviews, approve deployment documents, and ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards in database development.
  • Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation and training materials to support the team and stakeholders.
  • Performance Benchmarking: Develop environment specifications, benchmark performance scenarios, and monitor environments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Visual Studio & Development: Leverage experience in Visual Studio and other tools to enhance database development processes and outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Database Development Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise-level database design and development, with a strong focus on MS SQL Server.
  • Data Integration & Migration: Knowledgeable in data integration and migration design and implementation, with a solid understanding of data management principles and best practices.
  • SQL Server Proficiency: Proficient in developing solutions using SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience as a team lead, spearheading architecture and code initiatives in past projects.
  • Modern Database Design: Experience in designing and developing modern, scalable, maintainable, and high-quality databases and data services.
  • TSQL/PgSQL Expertise: Strong knowledge of TSQL/PgSQL coding, stored procedures, views, and troubleshooting/debugging.
  • Performance Monitoring: Skilled in developing environment specifications, benchmarking performance scenarios, and monitoring environments.
  • Technical Documentation: Proficient in creating technical documentation and training materials to support development and operational teams.
