Key Accountabilities:

Objective #1: Ensure the effective field coordination, implementation of project activities and team management (50% time in field)

  • Ensure the implementation of project activities in the field office defined by the Programme Manager in coordination with staff attached with respective projects
  • Organize internal and external forums for discussion at the field level on project performance and to ensure coordination with stakeholders.
  • Coaching staff & create smooth working environment in all levels of the project area.
  • Regularly organize evaluation meetings of team members
  • Organize monthly meetings with the team and report the outcome to Programme manager
  • Ensure that lessons and best practices derived through implementation of project are well articulated and documented

Objective #2: Meeting and coordination with the relevant sectors

  • Establishing network with the INGOs, UN agencies, local authorities, and other actors in the areas
  • Liaise and coordinate with stakeholders’ clusters, Forums, Working groups etc.
  • Develop productive working relationships with Government, Non-Governmental institutions, and other project partners
  • Participate in the relevant sub-cluster meetings and other related forum at provincial and national level

Job Responsibility #3: Monitoring and Reporting

  • Compile the monthly statistics and activity report and submit to MEAL department & Programme lead. 
  • Report and communicate the progress and achievement of specific assigned objectives as per the project work plan and finalize reports with concerned institutions
  • Document and share lessons learnt in a comprehensive and detailed manner to enable track trends on changes on a timely basis
  • Provide written feedback when and if there is need to alter the project as appropriate to maximize impact.

Job Responsibility #4: Fund Raising/Institutional funding

  • Identification of funding opportunities and inform the Proposal development department for further action.
  • Assist the Program Manager and Proposal development department for the development of Concept notes and budgets for the new funding opportunities.
  • Assist Program manager and Proposal development department for the development of proposals and budget for the new funding opportunities.

Job Responsibility #5: Ensure coherence and support for logistics, finance and administration issues regarding the Programme department

  • In collaboration with the Program and finance department, follow up the ongoing project budgets and expenditure
  • In collaboration with the HR department, follow up of project-wise human resources gaps.
  • In collaboration with the Program Managers/ log department, management of supplies, when necessary, orders preparation, and orders follow up.
  • Includes interaction and engagement with internal and external stakeholders, communities, field visits and ensure safeguarding implications

Safeguarding

  • Ensure all safeguarding guidelines are implemented in true spirits and compliance as per the policy.
  • Ensure team members are aware and understand safeguarding policies, procedure
  • Internal & External Stakeholders management.
  • Implement the policy in the day-to-day code of conduct.

Leadership and Management

  • Provide regular one-to-ones to the relevant employees, ensuring that you adhere to MA’s annual appraisal “PACE” framework
  • Ensuring that relevant employees are set with annual SMART objectives and making sure that you are aware of your SMART objectives from your line manager

Other

  • To ensure all records are maintained and stored appropriately in line with MA document management and IT policies.
  • To comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.
