1.      Design and Implement Capacity Building Programs

               Develop and execute comprehensive capacity-building programs focused on CBDRM, climate resilience, climate change adaptation, and water governance, ensuring they are tailored to the needs of local communities, institutions, and stakeholders.

2.      Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNA)

               Lead Training Needs Assessments (TNA) to identify the knowledge gaps, skills, and training requirements of target communities and stakeholders, especially in disaster risk management, climate adaptation strategies, and sustainable water governance.

3.      Develop Training Materials and Tools

               Design and produce context-specific training manuals, toolkits, and resources on climate resilience, adaptation practices, and water governance, ensuring that materials are accessible and relevant to different audiences, including marginalized groups.

4.      Facilitate Capacity Building Workshops and Trainings

               Lead and facilitate workshops, trainings, and simulation exercises for government agencies, community organizations, local leaders, and other stakeholders to enhance their capacities in managing climate risks and water resources.

5.      Strengthen Community-Based Institutions

               Build the technical and institutional capacities of community-based organizations (CBOs), Local Support Organizations (LSOs), and Village Organizations (VOs) to enable them to effectively participate in disaster preparedness, climate adaptation, and water governance initiatives.

6.      Promote Inclusive and Gender-Sensitive Approaches

               Ensure capacity-building activities incorporate inclusive and gender-sensitive approaches, engaging women, youth, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and marginalized communities in climate resilience and water governance strategies.

7.      Enhance Water Resource Management Skills

               Develop and deliver specialized training modules on water governance, focusing on sustainable water resource management, equitable access, and climate-smart water use practices at the community level.

8.      Monitor and Evaluate Capacity Building Interventions

               Develop M&E frameworks to assess the effectiveness of capacity-building initiatives, gather feedback, and adapt training programs based on lessons learned and evolving community needs.

9.      Collaborate with Multi-Stakeholder Networks

               Work closely with local governments, NGOs, academic institutions, and international partners to foster multi-stakeholder collaboration and knowledge exchange in climate resilience, adaptation, and water governance.

10.  Provide Technical Support and Mentorship

               Offer ongoing technical support and mentorship to trainees, community leaders, and local institutions to ensure the long-term sustainability and implementation of climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction measures.
