Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the hospital's telephone exchange system, efficiently handling incoming and outgoing calls.
- Direct calls to the appropriate departments and personnel.
- Provide accurate information to callers, including hospital services, directions, and general inquiries.
- Handle emergency calls and relay critical information promptly.
- Maintain an up-to-date directory of hospital departments and staff extensions.
- Log and report any issues with the telephone system to the IT or maintenance departments.
- Assist with paging and intercom systems as needed.
- Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent / Bachelor.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Proficient in using telephone exchange systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
