Accountant

We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Accountant to join our London PCO Taxi Division. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of UK accounting standards and demonstrate a strong ability to handle financial records and reports that support strategic decision-making and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of detailed budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and report on variances to support strategic decision-making.
Tax Compliance: Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations. Liaise with tax authorities and manage any audits or inquiries.
Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment in accordance with UK employment regulations.
Cost Analysis and Reduction: Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Financial Advisory: Provide financial insights and advice to senior management to aid in operational and strategic decisions.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA, CIMA, or ICAEW qualification is highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, with a solid understanding of accounting practices and standards in the UK.

Skills:

Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of the transportation industry’s financial specifics is an advantage.
