As a Resident Engineer specializing in IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) networks, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IPTV services within our network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, technology vendors, and customers to ensure the delivery of high-quality IPTV services that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

IPTV Network Design: Collaborate with network architects to design robust IPTV network solutions that meet the technical and business requirements of our customers.

Network Implementation: Oversee the deployment and integration of IPTV network components, including video headends, set-top boxes, middleware, content delivery systems, and conditional access systems.

Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and validation of IPTV services to ensure optimal performance, video quality, and reliability.

Network Monitoring: Implement and maintain monitoring systems to proactively identify and address network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and uninterrupted service.

Technical Support: Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving complex IPTV network issues, both remotely and on-site, when necessary.

Vendor Management: Work closely with technology vendors to evaluate and select equipment and software solutions, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IPTV network configurations, diagrams, and procedures for reference and troubleshooting.

Security and Compliance: Ensure the IPTV network adheres to security standards and regulatory requirements, implementing measures to protect against unauthorized access and content piracy.

Capacity Planning: Monitor network usage and plan for capacity upgrades and expansions as needed to accommodate growth and changing demands.

Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales and customer support teams to engage with customers, gather feedback, and address their specific needs and concerns.
