Sr. Shopify / WordPress Developer

NextScrum is seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will possess strong coding skills, a deep understanding of WordPress architecture, and proficiency in working with popular page builders like Elementor, Divi, and other similar tools.

Responsibilities:

Website Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly WordPress websites. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand project requirements.

Page Builder Proficiency: Extensive experience working with various page builders, including but not limited to Elementor, Divi, and other popular tools.Ability to create custom and dynamic layouts using page builder functionalities.

Coding Skills: Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript/jQuery.Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.

Theme Development: Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch or modify existing themes to meet client needs. Ensure themes are optimized for performance, responsiveness, and security.

Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, and security. Conduct thorough testing to ensure optimal site performance across various browsers and devices.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other team members to deliver high-quality websites. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a WordPress Developer.
Proven experience with popular page builders such as Elementor and Divi.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript/jQuery.
Knowledge of web standards and best practices for website development.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Bonus Skills:

Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce).
Knowledge of SEO best practices.
Familiarity with UX/UI design principles.
