We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician with expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, including generators and solar energy systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, with a focus on renewable energy solutions and backup power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair solar panel systems and associated electrical components, including inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and wiring.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot generator systems, ensuring proper operation of backup power sources for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
- Work with various electrical components like wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers to ensure all electrical systems are fully functional and comply with local safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of electrical systems to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in solar energy systems, generators, and other electrical installations.
- Perform solar system performance testing, ensuring systems are generating and storing energy efficiently.
- Collaborate with other team members to install, commission, and service electrical systems and ensure timely project completion.
- Provide support and advice on energy-saving solutions, including solar energy options and backup power systems.
- Provide guidance to apprentices and junior electricians when required.
- Ensure all electrical work is compliant with safety standards, regulations, and the latest industry codes.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including materials used, system configurations, and maintenance logs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrician, specifically with generators and solar energy systems.
- Strong knowledge of solar power systems, including the installation and maintenance of solar panels, inverters, and battery storage.
- Experience working with backup generators and their integration into electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and wiring specifications.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical safety protocols, building codes, and renewable energy standards.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and customer service.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with solar panel installation and energy storage systems.
- Certification in solar energy systems, photovoltaic (PV) installations, or related areas.
- Previous work with diesel, natural gas, or propane generators.
- Electrical apprenticeship or formal training from an accredited institution.
