The Head of Sales is responsible for developing and executing the overall sales strategy for Pak Punjab Cardex Medical System. This leadership role oversees a dual-segment sales function—managing competitive government tenders and nurturing long-term strategic private accounts (e.g., comprehensive cath lab contracts). The incumbent will drive revenue growth, manage key client relationships, and lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy covering both government tender-based and long-term private contracts.

  • Set ambitious yet achievable revenue targets and KPIs for both segments.

  • Forecast sales performance and monitor progress against business goals.

2. Team Management & Development:

  • Directly manage and mentor the Government Tender Sales Manager and the Strategic Account Manager.

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of the sales team.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the department.

3. Government Tender Oversight:

  • Ensure timely identification and submission of competitive bids for government tenders.

  • Oversee tender documentation to ensure full compliance with regulatory and procurement requirements.

  • Analyze competitive pricing strategies to position products effectively in government tenders.

4. Strategic Account Management:

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key private healthcare customers.

  • Collaborate with technical and service teams to develop comprehensive solutions for cath lab contracts.

  • Lead negotiations for multi-year contracts and oversee service-level agreements to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Technical Support, and Regulatory teams to align sales initiatives with overall company strategy.

  • Provide market feedback to product development and quality assurance teams for continuous product and service enhancement.

6. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Utilize sales analytics and CRM tools to monitor team performance, market trends, and customer needs.

  • Prepare regular sales reports and present insights to senior management.

  • Adjust sales strategies based on performance data and evolving market conditions.

7. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in negotiations with key government and private clients.

  • Maintain high levels of customer engagement to ensure long-term partnerships and brand loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, with demonstrated success in both government tender and private account management.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing high-performing, diverse sales teams.

  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with key customers and attend industry events.
