Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a React Native Developer at Pakistan Meteorological Department in Islamabad. The React Native Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing mobile applications using React Native and integrating with back-end services.

Qualifications

Proficiency in React Native, JavaScript, and mobile app development
Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud message APIs
Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., Redux) and mobile app deployment process
Understanding of mobile UI/UX standards and best practices
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Preference will be given to having web GIS experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2+ years of hands-on experience in React Native app development.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) is both a scientific and a service department, and functional under the Ministry of Aviation. PMD is responsible for providing meteorological services throughout Pakistan to wide variety of interest and for numerous public activities and project which require climatic information. Apart from Meteorology, the department is also extending services in the fields of Hydrology, Seismology and Geomagnetism. PMD operates under World Meteorological Organization (WMO) umbrella as 198 member states of the world and act as National Meteorological and Hydrological Service of Pakistan.
