The Head of Deployment and Configuration is responsible for overseeing the deployment, configuration, and release management of software applications, systems, and infrastructure across the organization. This role ensures that deployment processes are efficient, automated, and aligned with business objectives while maintaining system stability and performance.
- Manage, lead, mentor, and motivate a team of professionals at different levels of hierarchy in the Deployment and Configuration Wing to ensure optimal utilization of their maximum potential.
- Ensure that service levels specified by the Customer are met.
- Prepare, maintain, and implement the Software Configuration Management Plan.
- Provide three managed environments for testing, training, and production.
- Host, deploy, configure, monitor, control, manage, and optimize databases, software applications, components, and solutions.
- Ensure availability, scalability, integrity, and confidentiality of software applications and business information.
- Manage clusters, replication, backup, and recovery of databases and software applications.
- Manage software source code, versions, and releases.
- Manage incidents and escalation.
- Manage access rights on systems, documents, and software repositories.
- Provide software for and help in UAT.
- Provide assistance to other departments in respect of IT Architecture Management, IT-related Procurement, Asset Tracking, and Information Security Management.
- Any other task assigned by the GM (SD).
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in IT deployment, configuration management, and software infrastructure. Cyber Security Governance and Risk Management.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale software deployment projects.
