Essential Responsibilities:
Cook cum Office Boy is required to undertake the following duties as directed by the Supervising Officer, using the prescribed methods and frequencies in line with the requirements of the cleaning specification.
1. To ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained daily in the kitchen;
2. Responsible for the preparation and serving of food and beverages;
3. Simple cooking, including the reconstitution of prepared food;
4. The transferring and serving of meals to staff and guests;
5. General kitchen and dining room duties, including washing up, setting up, and clearing away equipment and tables, cleaning of the kitchen and equipment, including all work surfaces, dining furniture, floors, and wall;
6. Operates standard cooking equipment such as mixers, juicers, steamers, toasters, choppers, fryers, ovens, and stoves;
7. Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points;
8. Keep all the electronic kitchen appliances, crockery, and cutlery clean and hygienic;
9. Well aware of the manners and serving etiquettes in the meetings and conferences;
10. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for the kitchen;
11. Ensure food and grocery items are stored in the appropriate area;
12. Must display good manners, courteousness, and hospitality with all staff and guests;
13. Always be clean and adequately dressed while on duty and be aware of personal hygiene at all times;
14. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the post's grading and level of responsibilities.
15. Any other task assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualification:
a. Matriculation or above.
b. Awareness of UNICEF operational policies and procedures desired
c. Experience working at UNICEF projects is added advantage.
d. Any other relevant qualification/course will be a Plus.
Required Experience:
a. Three (03) to Five (5) years of proven experience with National and International NGOs
b. Working with any security agencies.
Travel Requirement:
The job requires approximately 10 % to 20 % to travel to carry out assigned responsibilities within the coverage area (District Sujawal). Travelling to field areas is a significant responsibility organization candidate must be willing and able to travel.
