• He/ She is responsible to conduct assessment of persons to evaluate their mental health, exposure to distressing events, capacity to cope with adverse events, and their immediate needs.
  • Develop a compressive management plan and intervention strategy based on the findings of assessment and most appropriate to needs identified.
  • Write assessment reports of individuals and groups as per need and requirement.
  • Participate in professional development activities and trainings along with report sharing
  • As required, provide training to community focal persons, volunteers and other partner, field staff on how to identify vulnerable individuals in need of psychosocial support, and how to refer for assistance. 
  • Report writing of training events, workshops, monitoring visit reports, success stories, case study reports etc
  • Act as technical person in leading and organizing Psychotherapeutic and counselling services, and other evidence based and scalable interventions implemented at primary health care centres and community health facilities
  • Ensure quality and appropriateness of interventions, technical and administrative framework applied
  • Develop weekly and monthly work plans and share with management
  • Assess psychosocial projects needs and formulate requests to the Project management accordingly.
  • As technical person, Psychologists  initiate the assessment of MHPSS needs of the target population, and develop appropriate psychosocial interventions through individual and group based approaches
  • Contribute in effective implementation of follow-up session/ services and share feedback accordingly
  • Ensure that the relevant tools for assessment, implementation, and reporting are being used during MHPSS activities as compulsory part of evidence keeping, archiving, and documentation.
  • Participate in testing, dissemination and evaluation of impact of MHPSS interventions such capacity building and awareness raising activities and protection messages, training manuals, tools, testing scales and all other communication materials related to psychosocial well being
  • Contribute in organizing community awareness sessions, trainings and capacity building activities on different topics relevant to mental health care and psychosocial support
  • Contribute in delivering and conducting community awareness sessions and training activities
  • Act as responsible person for keeping MoVs of project indicators, support in developing appropriate reporting system, and ensure documentation of all project activities (Hard and Soft)
  • Ensure and identify referrals points for MH patients and following it accordingly along with monthly summary sheet sharing of the impact being achieved.
  • To carry out other tasks, as delegated by the line manager.
