Position: Quantitative Research Analyst
Location: Islamabad
Report To: Research Manager
ResponsibilitiesThe following tasks and responsibilities are expected from the Quantitative Research Analyst
Research Functions:
- Support the development of quantitative tools.
- Support the writing of appropriate research methodologies.
- Support in pilot testing and learn CAPI for electronic tool designing.
- Provide oversight and support during data collection activities.
- Carry out the processing, cleaning, and analysis of quantitative data.
- Take part in result presentation development and attend project-related events.
- Support dissemination activities for clients and other relevant stakeholders.
Writing:
- Support project-related writing activities including report development, data summaries, presentations and so on.
- Participate in proposal development and support business development activities as appropriate.
- Participate in conducting literature reviews.
- Participate in the development of materials for publication in journals and other locations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in capacity-building activities and undertake self-development.
- Participate in team management activities and use/maintain management systems, standards and tools as required.
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Education:
- Master’s degree / Sixteen years in social sciences, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Work experience of about 2-3 years with primary data.
- 1-2 years’ experience in using some form of Social Science focused Statistical Software, ideally SPSS but STATA/R is acceptable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with demonstrable
- Command over written communication in English.
- Knowledge of various quantitative data analysis tools, data visualization tools will be an added advantage.
- Creativity in developing and designing research products.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver within tight deadlines with a strong focus to independently determine, balance and pursue competing priorities.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu.
- Good Writing Skills (Need to share Writing Sample)
