Job Title: Senior Research Analyst
Duty Station: Head Office, Islamabad
Reporting to: Research Manager
Background
Research and Development Solutions (RADS) is a for-profit private sector research, technical assistance, surveys and monitoring organization working with government, donors, and NGO partners.
Summary of Position
The candidate will be collaborating with the academic partners, some knowledge of the education system is required and understanding of the education system at the undergrad and graduate levels. The candidate will be conducting advanced level quantitative research on different themes and should have good statistical and econometrics knowledge. Lastly, should be motivated to transfer skills to the younger generation as the role requires mentoring two research fellows in-house about how the research is conducted from initial to endpoint.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform advanced-level quantitative research, including data cleaning and analysis, on the primary and secondary data.
- Write research articles for publication at academic journals
- Collaborate with academic partners, to introduce the work of the organization, design short and long courses for the academic partners (related to quantitative research), to ensure applications of statistics and econometrics are embedded in the course of the Universities
- Designing training courses, related to quantitative research, statistics and econometrics, for other stakeholders
- Conducting training courses for the stakeholders
- Design and refine the plan for research fellows
- Supervise research fellows in all the activities of research
- Ensure research fellows have all the necessary skills at the end of their program.
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Education: At least a master’s degree preferably in Master's Degree in Social Sciences in Economics, Economics, Statistics, Education system, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5 years experience and some knowledge of education system Statistical Software, ideally, SPSS but STATA/R is acceptable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with a demonstrable
- Command over written communication in English.
- Knowledge of various quantitative data analysis tools, data visualization tools will be an added advantage.
- Creativity in developing and designing research products.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver within tight deadlines with a strong focus to independently determine, balance and pursue competing priorities.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu.
- Good Writing Skills (Need to share Writing Sample) The qualified Shortlisted candidates will go through the recruitment test, before calling for the interview.
