Business Development Manager - Alibaba Subscription Sales to SMEs

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to lead the sales efforts of Alibaba subscriptions to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, a deep understanding of e-commerce, and the ability to effectively communicate the value of Alibaba's subscription services to SMEs. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth through the promotion and sale of Alibaba subscriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospect and Lead Generation:

  • Identify and research potential SME clients who could benefit from Alibaba subscription services.
  • Develop a target list of qualified leads and establish a robust pipeline for ongoing sales activities.
  • Leverage various channels, including online research, networking events, and industry associations, to generate leads.

Consultative Sales Approach:

  • Understand the unique needs and challenges of SMEs and position Alibaba subscriptions as solutions to their pain points.
  • Conduct in-depth consultations with prospects to uncover their e-commerce goals and objectives.
  • Customize subscription offerings based on client requirements and provide tailored product presentations.

Sales Presentations and Negotiations:

  • Deliver compelling and persuasive presentations to showcase the benefits and features of Alibaba subscriptions.
  • Address client objections, concerns, and questions with professionalism and confidence.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract agreements to secure new subscriptions.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within SME organizations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and beyond.

Market Research and Insights:

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, lead progress, and client interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of B2B sales success, with a focus on selling subscription-based services.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce, digital marketing, and online business operations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish credibility with SME clients.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
