This is a support function for the Sales department and the candidate will report to the Sales Officer & Accounts .
The job functions include:
- Preparation of sales invoices from delivery data
- Checking of invoice data against prepared delivery orders to ensure accuracy
- Entries of credit customers into credit control ledger and follow up of the same by preparation of aged debtors list every 15 days. Follow up with clients on telephone for settlement of their invoices
- Reconciliation of individual customer status with delivery department details for customers with large orders.
- Ensuring receipts are correctly recorded in the sales ledgers
- Reconciliation of sales ledger monthly to general ledger held with accounts department
- Preparation of documents for submission follow up of the same with the bank and client.
- Proper filing and maintenance of all documents provided by customers
- To ensure transportation charges recoverable from client properly accounted for.
- Checking of transporters bills for accuracy.
The ideal candidate would have good computing (MS Office) and accounting skills. B.Com qualified is preferred.
Preference will be given for a female B Com with 4-5 years work experience in an accounts function.
