We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The candidate will work on preparing estimates for public projects in the U.S., supporting various companies in their bidding process.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MTA, OGS, and SCA projects.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
- Use estimation software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) to generate accurate take-offs.
- Identify labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with U.S. teams to refine estimates and adjust based on project requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date pricing and vendor information.
- Work within tight deadlines to ensure timely submission of estimates.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably for U.S. projects.
- Strong knowledge of public sector bidding (MTA, OGS, SCA, etc.).
- Proficiency in estimation software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with a U.S.-based firm.
- Experience in public project estimation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and shop drawings is a plus.
