I.     Scope of Work: The School of Leadership Foundation is seeking a full-time Community Manager to join our team in Islamabad. The Community Manager will play a pivotal role in engaging with community-based organizations, particularly those working with refugees and host communities. This position involves planning, designing, and implementing program activities, managing grants, and developing effective social media strategies to amplify the organization’s impact.  

Work Location: School of Leadership Foundation, G-8 Markaz, Islamabad.

Duration: 11 Months.  

II.      Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and implement program activities aligned with the organization's mission and community needs.
  • Oversee grant management for community projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and objectives.
  • Ensure community engagement programs are effectively managed from inception to completion, including open calls and research documentation.
  • Develop and execute concept notes and strategic plans for community engagement initiatives that align with SoLF's overall goals.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain detailed records, including reports, meeting minutes, financial records, and progress updates (on a weekly or monthly basis).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for community stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including trainers, external speakers, and partners, to ensure program effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Assist in the creation of analytical methods to assess community needs and preferences, ensuring responsiveness to these insights.
  • Oversee the execution of social action projects in line with the organization's objectives and grant agreements.
  • Ensure activities comply with the quality standards set by SoLF, managing adherence to standard operating procedures (SoPs) during community engagement activities, such as training and awareness sessions.
  • Monitor and evaluate community projects, ensuring that they meet desired outcomes.
  • Travel within Pakistan as needed for on-the-ground monitoring and evaluation visits, assessing the progress and impact of initiatives.
  • Plan social media strategies to increase visibility, engagement, and awareness of community programs and activities.
  • Travel as and when required with supervisors/MD’s approval.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Sciences / BBA or MBA or any other relevant degree, Proven 2-3 years of experience in youth program management or community engagement.
  • Strong background in community management, program planning, and execution.
  • Experience in grant management and funding processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report writing and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders, including communities, external partners, and government agencies.
  • Analytical mindset, with experience in evaluating community needs and program effectiveness.

 Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills: This is fundamental, encompassing clear, concise, and persuasive messaging across various channels (e.g., reports, presentations, social media, public speaking).

Strategic thinking and planning: Ability to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational goals, considering target audiences and desired outcomes.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills: Effectively collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and the media, building and maintaining positive relationships.

Digital media proficiency: Expertise in utilizing digital platforms (social media, website, email marketing) to reach target audiences and measure campaign effectiveness.

III.    Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse: The Contractor affirms their understanding and acknowledgment of SoLF's unwavering commitment to preventing Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA). The organization maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any act of SEA. In the event that an Contractor is found to have committed such an act, disciplinary action will be initiated immediately. Disciplinary measures may include a warning, demotion, or, in severe cases, immediate termination of the employment contract. This action is taken in strict accordance with the PSEA policy, which the Employee is expected to have read and understood. SoLF emphasizes the gravity of upholding ethical standards to ensure a safe and respectful working environment for all.
