We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of our kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in our kitchen premises. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Daily Operations Oversight:

    • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen staff, including washing, cleaning lunch boxes, and organizing crates.
    • Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to high standards of quality.
  2. Duty Roster Management:

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive duty roster that ensures fair distribution of shifts and workloads.
    • Adjust rosters as necessary to accommodate staff availability and operational needs.
  3. Shift Management:

    • Monitor attendance and performance of daily wage employees during assigned shifts.
    • Address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain morale and productivity.
  4. Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of employee attendance, performance evaluations, and any relevant incidents.
    • Prepare reports as needed for management review.
  5. Quality Control:

    • Ensure kitchen premises are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, adhering to all relevant health and safety standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any cleanliness or safety issues.
  6. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
    • Schedule regular servicing and address any urgent repairs as needed.
  7. Training and Development:

    • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to kitchen staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    • Encourage ongoing development and skill enhancement among team members.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to food service.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
