ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE ORGANIZATION

Assists and support the MEAL Department with the following tasks and activities; The Intern will be responsible for:
- Independently prepare high-quality reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity and adherence to organizational standards.
- Facilitate the MEAL department in conducting baseline/MEAL line and impact assessments, including tool development and report generation.
- Monitor and evaluate all project activities in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
- Design and lead the performance indicators and data collection to assess project impact.
- Independently validate all SIF projects in the twin cities, including OSP, SMILE and Livelihood programs, as well as post-distribution validation.
- Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative data analysis using appropriate tools and techniques. Ensure data quality, data accuracy and data consistency during data collection and data entry and manage databases.
- Carry out regular and routine field monitoring of program activities and produce monitoring visit reports on the given format and report to the MEAL Department.
- Ensure accountability at the field level during program implementation by orienting program teams and beneficiaries during activities.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret findings and provide actionable insights.
- Participate in the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Facilitate MEAL department in baseline survey and need assessments in terms of forming data collection tools, sample size and administering questionnaires.
- Assist MEAL Manager and Sr. Research & MEAL Officer in documentation/desk review for all the project and give feedback and ensure alignment to minimum standards;
- To assist in planning and implementation of internal monitoring and evaluation exercises and impact assessments in terms of case/success stories and during project evaluation when needed
- Manage all internal evaluation activities; systematically ensure the analysis of results is shared with stakeholders
- Ensure display of CBCM banners and boxes are displayed and placed at activity intervention locations
- Ensure effective management of CBCM. Ensure by random verification that CBCM is known by beneficiaries and SIF staff

Note: The terms of reference may be subject to modification based on the specific needs of ongoing projects and the organization's requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Social Sciences or any other related discipline.
- Fresh to one year experience in a relevant field. Previous experience in tools development, survey data collection, data analysis software, and tools is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Urdu, English and local languages.
- Excellent computer knowledge with command of MS Excel among other packages of MS Office.
- Willingness to travel within Islamabad/Rawalpindi for data collection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with humanitarian and development issues is an asset.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
