As security guards are responsible for securing the interior and exterior of the premises where they work. They monitor windows, doors, and gates to make sure they're locked properly. If an alarm sounds or there's a disturbance. Security maintains activity logs and reports of any damage to equipment to present to their supervisor.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Patrolling the premises and identifying suspicious activity.
Control and check at all gates.
Take care and control assets, inventories, medicines and consumables.
Ensure that all vehicles park properly at the parking area. Especially the emergency unit area should be clear 24 hours.
Ensuring that the security arrangements in the hospital like computers, alarm systems, and close circuit cameras are functioning properly
Placing miscreants under citizen’s arrest until he can be handed over to the law enforcement officials
Interact with hospital staff of all divisions with special emphasis on drug storage areas, infant care units, wards for mentally ill patients, and trauma care
In case of fire or bomb threats, taking charge of evacuating the hospital
Forming a liaison between the hospital and law enforcement agency.
Deal with staff and patients appropriately and guide them if required.
