The post holder will undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation.

All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and appropriate screening checks, which can include criminal records and terrorism finance checks. Shifa Foundation also participates in the Inter Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme, Misconduct Disclosure Scheme — SCHR. In line with this Scheme, we will request information from job applicants’ previous employers about any findings of sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and/or sexual harassment during employment, or incidents under investigation when the applicant left employment. By submitting an application, the job applicant confirms his/her understanding of these recruitment procedures.

  • To receive and process all invoices, expenses forms and requests for payments from all project offices.
  • To verify calculations and input codes into the finance system in an accurate manner of all projects.
  • To maintain records and reconcile accounts with HO finance team on a regular basis.
  • To deal with daily transactions for the petty cash for all field offices and ensure reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis of all field offices.
  • To prepare cheques for payment.
  • To assist in the reconciliation process.
  • To follow and successfully adhere to active account tracking and reporting procedures in accordance with the foundation’s policies.
  • Coordination with all teams for financial matters.
  • Verify calculation and enter code financial transactions appropriately.
  • Maintain personal files, HR data and prepared salary sheet.
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statements of all bank accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Maintenance of accounting records.
  • Work together with internal & external auditors to provide accounting information needed to complete audit reports.
  • Any other official task assigned by Line Manager.
