Shifa Foundation is committed to preventing any type of unwanted behaviour at work including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse, lack of integrity and financial misconduct; and committed to promoting the welfare of children, young people, adults and beneficiaries with whom Shifa Foundation engages. Shifa Foundation expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment through our code of conduct. We place a high priority on ensuring that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.
The post holder will undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation.
All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and appropriate screening checks, which can include criminal records and terrorism finance checks. Shifa Foundation also participates in the Inter Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme, Misconduct Disclosure Scheme — SCHR. In line with this Scheme, we will request information from job applicants’ previous employers about any findings of sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and/or sexual harassment during employment, or incidents under investigation when the applicant left employment. By submitting an application, the job applicant confirms his/her understanding of these recruitment procedures.
District Activities Organization
The District Coordinator will be directly responsible for organizing the field activities including and not limited to project launch seminars, Organizing TWG meetings, project steering committee formation, and its meetings. Training of Trainers (ToT) for health staff, teachers, and food department/authority personnel, followed by trickle-down training and sensitization/orientation sessions within communities. S/he will coordinate with the project and NI teams for organizing respective events/activities as per the planned work plan.
Networking and Engagement
The District Coordinator will collaborate with officials from the Food, Health, and Education departments to ensure a clear understanding of project activities. S/he will work closely with school teachers, food department officials, Chakki owners, and health staff (including Lady Health Workers, School Health and Nutrition Supervisors, and Basic Health Unit In-Charges) to develop event plans, manage data recording, coordinate the distribution of Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) supplements, lead IFA education initiatives, and oversee the fortification of wheat flour through local Chakkis.

Reporting
The District Coordinator will directly report to the National Project Coordinator SOPRAN with functional reporting to the respective Provincial Managers. S/he will be directly responsible for compiling the field activity reports in accordance with the agreed reporting plan and formats. S/he will closely work with the other team members to compile and refine these reports. S/he will be responsible for ensuring the timely, quality, and credible information available in the reports. S/he will be responsible for maintaining the project documentation in both hard and soft versions.
