Program Coordinator

Background: The Program Coordinator will support the Government Department in implementing and scaling up maternal, adolescent, and child nutrition initiatives aligned with Pakistan’s national and international commitments, the Pakistan Maternal Nutrition Strategy, and the National Adolescent Health and Nutrition Strategy.

Objectives of the Position: The Program Coordinator will work under the guidance of the Director of Government Department to provide technical, operational, and administrative support to improve maternal, adolescent, and child health outcomes.

Support the preparation, review, and dissemination of program documents, presentations, and other communication materials.
Provide support in data collection, analysis, and reporting on nutrition indicators for maternal, adolescent, and child health.
Assist in coordinating and monitoring nutrition programs and projects related to maternal, adolescent, and child health.
Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting training sessions for provincial and district health personnel on maternal and child nutrition interventions.
Support coordination with stakeholders, including NI, UN agencies, development partners, provincial health departments, and other relevant sectors for effective program implementation.
Facilitate effective communication and information sharing among national and provincial teams to ensure unified implementation of the Multi-sectoral National Nutrition Action Plan.
Assist in developing and maintaining databases for tracking program performance and progress towards key nutrition indicators.
Support the preparation of monitoring and evaluation reports, synthesizing data to inform program adjustments and identify areas needing improvement.
Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, organizing workshops, and maintaining relevant records and documents.
Assist in budget monitoring, resource tracking, and financial reporting for nutrition programs, ensuring compliance with donor and government regulations.
Coordinate travel and logistics for program-related activities, field missions, and training events.
Take minutes of the meetings and manage its issuance and circulation
Provide support in developing document depositories and act as a knowledge management unit.
Any other task assigned by the line manager.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of maternal, adolescent, and child nutrition issues in Pakistan.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting; familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Key Deliverables:

Timely submission of program reports, policy briefs, and other key documents.
Successful organization of stakeholder meetings, trainings, and workshops.
Accurate tracking of program activities and contributions to monitoring and evaluation reports.
Effective coordination and communication among stakeholders to support program implementation.
