The Technical Manager at Shifa Foundation is responsible for overseeing and managing technical operations, ensuring the effective implementation of technical projects, and providing strategic support to the organization. This role involves developing and maintaining technical standards, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The Technical Manager will also play a crucial role in report writing and proposal development to support the Foundation's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Proposal Development

  • Responsible for the development of project proposals, including technical content, project plans, and budgetary estimates.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information and ensure that proposals are aligned with Shifa Foundation’s strategic objectives and donor requirements.
  • Review and refine proposals to enhance clarity, coherence, and effectiveness.
  • Proficient in developing proposals by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables and implementation methods within stipulated timelines.
  • Accountable for creating and delivering a winning proposal for each assigned opportunity and ensuring full compliance to RFP requirements.
  • Develop technically relevant and accurate written content.
  • Be quick and thorough in developing response to RFP.
  • Identification of potential partners/donors for future funding opportunities and to explore new opportunities in development sector.
  • Design and conduct surveys at field level on need basis.
  • Responsible for developing strategic and Annual Operational Plan.

2. Technical Oversight

  • Lead and managed technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with Shifa Foundation’s goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operations and enhance project outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of technical systems and processes, making recommendations for improvements.

3. Report Writing

  • Prepare detailed technical reports, including progress updates, analysis, and recommendations, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that reports are accurate, comprehensive, and adhere to organizational standards and guidelines.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to senior management and other relevant parties.

4. Team Management

  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication on technical projects.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all technical activities and projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of technical outputs.

6.Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Represent Shifa Foundation at technical meetings, conferences, and other events as required.
