We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Technical Product Manager (TPM) to lead and coordinate the development of our diverse software product lines operating in the cloud data lake, for Gas Turbine Solar PV, Wind, and SWRO. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven experience in agile methodologies, and the ability to identify reusable software components to optimize platform effects and reduce software development costs. The TPM will define the software product scope, manage sprints, scrum master, deliverables, and set clear expectations based on cost implications and resource availability.

Major Job resposibilities will include:

Product Coordination:

  1. Lead the development efforts across multiple product lines: Solar PV, Wind, and SWRO.
  2. Identify and leverage reusable components to achieve platform effects and cost reductions.

Scope Definition:

  • Define the scope of each product, including what can be delivered and what is out of scope based on cost implications.
  • Work with technical leads to ensure that business requirement documents (BRDs) and test-driven development (TDD) plans are created and maintained.

Project Management:

  • Manage project timelines, ensuring that products are delivered on schedule despite tight deadlines and resource constraints.
  • Use agile methodologies to estimate the level of effort (LOE) in developer-weeks and plan sprints accordingly.

Resource Allocation:

  • Assess and allocate necessary resources, potentially tripling team sizes to meet compressed delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with the development team to ensure that the necessary skills and manpower are available for each project phase.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that cost reductions are achieved through platform effects and efficient resource utilization.
  • Provide cost estimates and track spending to ensure that projects stay within budget.

Cost and Benefit Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough cost and benefit analyses for each project to determine the financial viability and potential return on investment (ROI).
  • Use these analyses to inform decision-making and prioritize projects that offer the greatest benefits relative to their costs.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including technical leads and senior management, to set realistic expectations and provide regular progress updates.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, particularly when scope limitations are necessary to meet cost objectives.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges, including technical spikes and resource shortages, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure that buffer resources are in place to handle uncertainties and maintain project momentum.
