We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Officer to join our team. The ideal candyidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance. The candidate should be capable of working independently and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
  • Contribute to financial forecasting and variance analysis.

Financial Reporting:

  • Generate and analyze financial reports for management review.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.

Analysis and Recommendations:

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide recommendations to management based on financial analysis.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Vendor Management:

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for financial-related matters.

Independence:

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative in daily tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
