Strengthening Organizational Capacities for Nutrition Advocacy and Service Delivery: Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) and OGCP Development.
Consultancy Objectives:
The primary objectives of the consultancy are as follows:
a. Conduct a thorough Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) of selected CSOs, with a focus on financial management, human resource management, program management, governance and leadership, policy advocacy as well as tools for effectiveness, accountability, and transparency.
b. Identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) within each CSO's organizational capacity.
c. Provide recommendations and actionable insights based on the OCA findings to inform the Organization Growth and Change Plan (OGCP).
d. Collaborate with CSOs to develop capacity-building strategies and approaches that align with the OGCP objectives.
e. Assist CSOs in implementing capacity-building initiatives that contribute to enhancing their capacity for nutrition-related advocacy and service delivery.
Scope of Work:
The Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) is a critical component of our efforts to strengthen the capacities of selected Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in various key areas. The aim is to assess the existing capacities of CSOs in terms of financial management, human resource management, program management, governance and leadership, policy advocacy as well as tools for effectiveness, accountability, and transparency. The findings from this assessment will play a pivotal role in the development of the Organization Growth and Change Plan (OGCP) and the provision of Organizational Development Assistance. These efforts are in line with our commitment to contributing to the nutrition sector by establishing a robust and effective system for nutrition-related advocacy and service delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
· Review relevant documentation and reports related to each CSO's operations and organizational systems, management and program implementation.
· Conduct interviews, surveys, and on-site visits to assess the CSOs' financial management, human resource management, governance & leadership, and strategic planning, policy advocacy and program implementation capabilities.
· Analyze data collected during the CSOs mapping and assessment to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within each CSO.
· Develop a comprehensive report summarizing the OCA findings, including actionable recommendations for each CSO.
· Development of organizational OGCP workshop content/ training modules based on OCA findings and recommendations
· Work closely with CSOs to develop and design OGCP and capacity-building strategies based on the OCA findings through two days workshops with each CSO.
Key Deliverables:
· Organizational Capacity Assessment tools and well defined research methodology
· Detailed and comprehensive OCA report, including a SWOT analysis and actionable recommendations
· The report should also contain the recommendations on CSOs Capacity-building strategies and approaches tailored to the needs of CSOs – OGCP bench marks.
· Development of organizational OGCP workshop content/ training modules in Sindhi language based on OCA findings and recommendations
· Organizing two days OGCP workshops with each CSO in five districts (Sukkur, Ghotki, Kashmore@Kandhkot, Khairpur Mir;s and NausheroFeroz)
· Development of 15 OGCP growth/ benchmark plans with CSOs clearly defining milestones, indicators, evidence to showing the improvement.
