The position under the Education Emergency Response and early recovery project entails ensuring successful district-level project implementation. It requires strong skills in planning, coordination, monitoring, communication, stakeholder engagement, budget management, risk management, and reporting to deliver results effectively in a challenging environment.

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and coordinating Education Emergency Response and early recovery project implementation at district level, ensuring alignment with objectives and effective execution. 
  • Engage with district-level stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, donors, and community leaders, to ensure effective coordination and collaboration for project success. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of the Education Emergency Response and early recovery project at the district level, including conducting regular site visits, reviewing project reports, and providing feedback to project stakeholders. 
  • Identify capacity building needs of project staff and stakeholders, and plan and implement capacity building activities to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the Education Emergency Response and early recovery project.
  • Prepare timely and accurate project reports, including progress reports, financial reports, and donor reports, and ensure that all reporting requirements are met.
  • Manage the project budget at the district level, ensuring that funds are used efficiently and effectively, and that all financial transactions are in line with project and donor requirements.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with the Education Emergency Response and early recovery project at the district level, and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies as required.
