Program Management

  • Under the direction and supervision of the Project Manager and Regional Manager, assist with the development and management of Gender initiatives for all program components.
  • Assist in providing technical support and training in Gender approaches for various program stakeholders and for all program components.
  • Support the Program Director in drafting and implementing Gender Based Violence and other gender-related trainings for all projects staff and various categories of community leaders.
  • Attend protection cluster, gender task force and GBV sub-cluster meetings (whenever organized at country and provincial levels).
  • Draft or contribute to other project reports and presentations on activities as requested and provide data analysis and report writing related to gender programming.
  • Prepare and manage Gender related program work plans and activities consistent with the goals and objectives of the GBV preventions and response program in coordination with the project team, seeking guidance from Program Director.
  • Plan and oversee the project activities review and other required project evaluation to address any design or implementation issues. Establish and strengthen integrated case referral system between GBV and Mental Health programs.
  • Provide technical and program support to project team on GBV case management and other activities related to GBV.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly and other related reports and share with relevant staff on timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement training for staff to provide timely and appropriate post incident care using a survivor-centered case management approach.
  • Draft IEC material and training materials for GBV activities and finalize after the community and Program Director feedbacks.
  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of Country Office strategic plan on gender/protection and IMC global gender strategy.

Program Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Provide oversight and monitoring of GBV project activities.
  • Assess quality of the program and report the hindrances which can cause delay in implementation.
  • Submit timely technical reports in provided format to Communication department.
  • Assist Program Director and MEAL Manager in establishing the work plan, activities, targets, budget, standards for measuring progress and results and determine the processes, tools and methodologies to be used to ensure effective and efficient GBV project implementation and operations and achievement of results

Human Resource Management:

  • Facilitate training for GBV team on GBV prevention and response strategies.
  • Develop staff capacity building plans in coordination with staff.
  • Monitor related staff performance.
  • Provide objective feedback to staff performance evaluations as per staff job descriptions regarding performance, expectations and areas for growth and professional development.

Financial Management:

  • Assist Budget holder in managing GBV program budget in order to maintain program expenditure within budget parameters.
  • Utilize financial planning tools such as spending plans, procurement plans, work plans based on activities and budgets.
  • Utilize budget estimates and anticipated costs based on programmatic priorities and activities for planning purposes.
