Responsibilities:

  • To manage and assure that quality is properly implemented and conforms to the required standard specifications of the consumer.
  • Quality Assurance of raw material, packaging material, and finished goods by effectively using the Enterprise Resource Planning system.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Deal with governmental regulatory bodies such as PFA (Punjab Food Authority) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).
  • Establish quality standards and specifications for inspection and selection of different raw materials, in-process product quality control checks, and finished product quality evaluation criteria.
  • Meet the standard specifications and update quality reports before releasing all incoming raw materials.
  • Identify and conduct tests required to ascertain and maintain the quality of Potato Chips, extruded products, Nuts, and Pellet products.
  • Perform internal audits of production facilities to ensure manufacturing practices comply with regulatory/PFA requirements.
  • Prepare final reports for internal and external reporting.
  • Preserve retained samples of dispatched products to trace back any problem to its source.
  • Develop samples of new flavors, get approval from management, and engage in perpetual R&D for new product development and improvement of existing products to ascertain their appropriate shelf life.
  • Monitor all activities related to Pest Management Control.
  • Ensure that proper sanitation and hygiene are maintained throughout the entire plant and lab.
  • Ensure that all laboratory equipment is calibrated, protected, and in good condition throughout the year.
  • Prepare, standardize, and store laboratory test chemicals carefully and properly.
  • Oversee activities related to ISO9001 QMS and Halal Food Management System (SANHA Pakistan).
  • Implement quality systems such as GMP, GLP, follow FIFO, and other relevant programs.
  • Ensure timely completion of all additional assignments entrusted/assigned by management.
  • The Manager of Quality Assurance will also perform special duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s in Food Sciences and Technology with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
