The Manager Accounts is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards in Pakistan. The role involves overseeing the accounting team, developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, and providing financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the timely and accurate closure of ERP modules such as GL, AP, AR, and Fixed Assets, ensuring adherence to internal control policies and procedures.
- Review and sign-off on transaction vouchers, ensuring accurate and complete accounting records.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to facilitate effective decision-making.
- Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing regular updates to the CFO and other stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including the timely filing of all tax returns and payments.
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high quality work and professional growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, such as department heads, as well as external stakeholders, such as banks and auditors.
- Continuously evaluate accounting systems, processes, and procedures, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee the company's ERP system, ensuring proper set-up and maintenance of accounting processes and procedures within the system.
- Ensure proper documentation of accounting policies and procedures, including the development and maintenance of an accounting manual.
