This is a full-time Health Safety Environment Officer role on-site at S. Zia-ul-Haq & Sons (Pvt.) Ltd in Karachi.
The Health Safety Environment Officer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks, such as managing the health and safety of employees, handling environmental health and safety (EHS) concerns, ensuring occupational health and workplace safety, and being certified in NEBOSH criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts Tool Box Meetings
- Develop, implement, and maintain food safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees on food safety practices and procedures.
- Checks / Carries out routine Safety checks/ Inspections.
- Prepares and compile exact and up-to-date safety records.
- Conducts HSE induction session for new employees.
- Promotes HSE suggestions for measures to improve safety performance.
- Creates awareness for risk /hazards involved.
- Discusses HSE with staff.
- Prepares special and routine HSE reports.
- Participates in HSE Meetings at sites.
- Prepares Site visit reports.
- Prepares Minutes of Daily Safety/TBM meeting with staff.
- Prepares Inspection/ random check Reports.
- Prepares HSE compliance & activity report.
- Conducts random inspections of various departments.
- Ensure Compliance of all HSE, HACCAP, and ISO 22000/9001/14000 & 45001 related guidelines related to his area of responsibility.

Experience
- Minimum 1 year as HSE Assistant/Officer or minimum 3 years prior experience in Same role
- Certification in food safety management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is preferred.
Qualification
- Minimum: Graduate (BE, BSc, Science)
- Certificate Courses of Industrial hygiene, CIEH level 1/2 or Basic Food safety; Nursing, Fire Fighting, etc. will be added advantage.
