We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Sales Assistant to join our team at tawakal trader located in Karachi.
The Sales Assistant will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and supporting the overall functioning of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner, providing product information, recommendations, and assistance with purchasing decisions.
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, effectively upselling and cross-selling products to enhance their shopping experience.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and other payment methods.
- Maintain a tidy and organized sales floor, restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring merchandise is properly labeled and priced.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service consistently.
- Utilize web-based software and POS systems effectively to process sales and manage inventory.
- Assist in managing inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and communicating inventory needs to the manager.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently, resolving issues to the satisfaction of the customer and in line with company policies.
- Contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store, fostering customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Assist the manager with administrative tasks as needed, including record-keeping, scheduling, and maintaining customer databases.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in a similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems and web-based software for sales processing and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
- Age between 23-30 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in sales or retail management is a plus.
