We’re looking for a Medical Billing Operator to handle patient communications via inbound and outbound calls. This includes appointment scheduling, insurance verification, prescription coordination, and basic administrative healthcare support. Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Communication: Manage inbound and outbound calls to schedule appointments, confirm visits, follow up on inquiries, and provide accurate information.

  • Insurance Verification: Check patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits ahead of appointments.

  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate patient records including personal info, medical history, and insurance details.

  • Prescription Support: Coordinate with pharmacies and providers to assist patients with medication refills.

  • Billing Assistance: Address basic billing queries and guide patients to the appropriate financial team.

  • Follow-Ups & Reminders: Make post-appointment calls and send reminders for upcoming visits.

  • Medical Records Management: Help manage EMR (Electronic Medical Records) securely and accurately.

  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth workflows.

  • Privacy & Compliance: Maintain full confidentiality and follow HIPAA compliance standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in admin or call center roles (healthcare background preferred)

  • Strong communication skills in English (both spoken and written)

  • Proficient in data entry and documentation

  • Comfortable using GSuite, Microsoft Office, and EMR systems

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and a team player

  • Knowledge of medical terms or prior healthcare experience is a plus

Technical Requirements (Work-from-Home Setup)

  • Computer: Intel Core i5 or higher, minimum 8GB RAM (16GB preferred)

  • Internet: Stable connection with backup ISP

  • Audio: USB headset with noise-canceling mic

  • Power Backup: UPS/generator or alternate work location during outages

  • Workspace: Quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions
