Manager, Environment / Social Responsibility supports the execution of the company’s Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) supply chain initiatives, with emphasis on social compliance, chemical management and deeper engagement with Tier 2 suppliers. The Manager will help ensure supply chain partners meet expectations outlined in the TCP Vendor Environmental Policy and Code of Conduct.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and coach a team of Responsible Sourcing Specialists in anticipating and planning for geo-political, social and environmental risks related to apparel sourcing on a regional scale.
  • Lead and develop targeted capacity building efforts on environmental and social responsibility priority areas with internal and external partners.
  • Expand TCP initiatives in social responsibility and capacity building efforts to Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Work closely with internal TCP Sourcing/Operations teams and industry partners to develop standard operation procedures and management systems to deliver on the environment and social responsibility supply chain strategy.
  • Support TCP’s chemical management and traceability programs through virtual and onsite engagement with in-scope vendors.
  • Provide project management support, technical assistance and coaching to local teams and manufacturing partners.
  • Manage industry collaborations and execute member requirements under partners such as SLCP, Better Work and Rise.
  • Assist in tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • 8 years or above relevant experience in possess Social Compliance auditing for apparel manufacturing facilities
  • 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience, regional experience preferred
  • Possesses knowledge of international labor standards and human rights issues are preferred
  • Fluent in English & local language
  • College Degree (Advanced Degree Preferred)
  • Effective problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Social compliance auditing skills
  • Familiarity with the apparel manufacturing process
  • Strong sense of industry fashion trends (current and emerging)
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet-research / reporting / analysis tools
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time
