Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate financial reports that detail the restaurant’s financial status, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance with budgeted figures.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
Payroll Management:
- Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Compliance and Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax.
Internal Controls and Auditing:
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies that align with the restaurant’s goals.
Technology and Software:
- Utilize accounting software and other financial management tools.
- Stay updated with advancements in accounting technology and recommend improvements.
