Reports to: Executive Chef
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sauce Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking sauces, soups, and other menu items to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment with a team of experienced chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
Sauce Preparation
1. Prepare and cook sauces, soups, and other menu items to the highest standards.
2. Ensure that all sauces and soups are made to recipe and presented to the highest standards.
3. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety standards.
Menu Preparation
4. Assist in the preparation of menu items, including sauces, soups, and other dishes.
5. Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards and presented in a timely manner.
6. Maintain a good understanding of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Kitchen Operations
7. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
8. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and cleaned to the highest standards.
9. Assist in receiving and storing ingredients, ensuring that all items are labeled and dated correctly.
Quality Control
10. Ensure that all sauces, soups, and menu items meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
11. Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet the hotel's standards.
12. Report any quality control issues to the Executive Sous Chef/Chef de Cuisine.
