Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying and selecting fabrics suitable for Western wear production
- Building and maintaining a strong network of fabric suppliers.
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve competitive advantages
- Conducting fabric testing and quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Monitoring market trends and staying up-to-date with new fabric developments
- Collaborating closely with the design and production teams to ensure seamless integration of fabric sourcing processes
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fabric sourcing preferably for Western wear
- In-depth knowledge of various types of fabrics used in western wear, including their characteristics and properties
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to build effective relationships with suppliers
- Careful attention to detail in fabric evaluation, quality control, and compliance monitoring
- Analytical mindset to analyze market trends, pricing structures, and supplier capabilities
- Proficiency in using fabric testing equipment and software tools
