The Social Media Moderator is responsible for representing our company across social channels as the sole voice of the brand. They will engage with customers in real time while maintaining the brand voice and integrity. This role requires quick thinking, empathetic communication, and a passion for social media.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Monitor and moderate comments across multiple social media platforms to maintain a positive environment.
  • Reply to comments and engage with the social media community to build brand visibility and customer satisfaction.
  • Comment on 20–30 different pages or threads weekly to increase brand engagement.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop social media campaigns that help achieve corporate marketing goals.
  • Develop a content calendar to ensure regular content across channels in alignment with marketing strategies.
  • Analyze the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy and offer quarterly reports to the management and executive teams that outline any necessary changes to the digital marketing plan.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Moderator, Community Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Understanding of social media metrics; being able to interpret the results and take action to increase the effectiveness of social media campaigns. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have a thorough understanding of social media management and strategy.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years of social media management experience.

Hours: Full-time with the expectation of occasional weekend work as needed
